Go for maximum romance

Go for maximum romance. Why not be the stars of your own Romance Novel cover? You don’t need a wedding to have a great couple’s portrait. Since I don’t photograph weddings, this is a great alternative. What’s the point of the wedding photo? Something to show how you are as a couple! After the wedding you are more relaxed and can have more fun. Here is one recent story.

After seeing the article in the Sentinel newspaper, the Museum of Art and History (MAH) in Santa Cruz asked me to assist in fund raising at their annual event in February, the Red Ball. I provided a session for a couple to do a photo shoot in the style of the Romance Novel cover shoots I have done with model Jason Baca (which was covered in the newspaper article). The winner of the auction item Alexa came in with her husband Michael to do a special portrait. We talked about ideas which appealed to them, and came up with a theme of pirate and a lady falling in love. On the day of the photo shoot in early March, they came in with their costumes and wig, and we went on to have a great time and a really fun session. I made a poster (large photo) resembling the cover of a romance cover, and the final print was displayed at their party last week.

This is what Alexa said about it,

“Yes, we got the poster last week just in time for the party last Sunday. It was the hit of the party – people couldn’t get over it and there were several couples who were interested in doing it. I gave them your name – who knows if they’ll follow through, but people loved it. And we love it, you did a fantastic job. Thank you so much. A
The party was a blast too. 🙂
